Integrating IFS in therapy: Harnessing the Healing Potential of Traumatised Parts: Video Course

Integrating IFS in therapy: Harnessing the Healing Potential of Traumatised Parts: Video Course

Navigating the intricate dynamics of the fragmented internal world of clients presents a formidable challenge for us as therapists. The delineation between the authentic self and its various wounded/traumatised parts demands a deep understanding of individual psychology, necessitating a nuanced approach. Moreover, the integration of therapeutic techniques required to create the ability to speak for, rather than from these parts, requires a high level of therapeutic skill and attunement between the therapist and the client.

Internal Family Systems (IFS) stands out as a particularly potent approach within this paradigm due to its unique combination of ancient wisdom and modern therapeutic techniques drawn from the latest in neuroscience, psychotherapy, spirituality, inclusivity, energy work, and more. Drawing on millennia-old practices from diverse cultural traditions, IFS provides a comprehensive framework for understanding the inner workings of the psyche. By conceptualizing the mind as a multiplicity of parts, each with its own perspective and agenda, IFS offers a powerful tool for navigating the complexities of human consciousness. Moreover, its emphasis on compassionately engaging with these parts fosters a deep sense of self-acceptance and integration, paving the way for profound healing and transformation. In this way, IFS not only honours the rich tapestry of human experience but also provides practical tools for harnessing the innate healing potential within each individual.

The non-pathologizing and empowering techniques of the IFS model help to build and expand on an inner relationship with the Self – the enlightened core which is naturally healing, wise, loving, and expansive. This workshop is focussed on using these tools for both trauma healing and awakening to the highest Self.

This two-part workshop expands the potential for therapists and healers to gain access to the IFS model’s empowering and transformative healing tools that bring forth the innate source of healing within all of us.

This workshop is for all therapists and healing professionals, whether you are brand new to IFS and the concept of Self or well-versed; either way, you will gain knowledge, skills, and insight that you can immediately use in clinical practice. The focus will be on the concept of Self through a transpersonal and IFS lens. You will learn progressive, evidence-based, and trauma-informed concepts, principles, and techniques, such as diving into the power of the essential Self, integrating Polyvagal theory, use of tapping techniques, inspired IFS: 8 C’s, 5 P’s, 6 F’s, and the 7 B’s of Indigenous and BIPOC understanding, somatic embodiment, and more.

The use of Self-led therapeutic techniques has proven effective in enhancing emotional regulation, improving overall well-being, and healing trauma. Deepen your clinical understanding of using Self-energy techniques, that are evidence-based, to treat anxiety, phobia, panic, medical conditions and chronic pain, depression, eating disorders, addictions, and much more.

Compassionately guide yourself and your clients toward exploring inner experiences, working safely and collaboratively towards meaningful resolutions. This workshop is open to all therapists and healing professionals, using didactic lecturing with visuals, experimental exercises, video or demo, and handouts and worksheets to facilitate your learning experience.
